Every 2 Weeks
MUST BE AT CURB BY 7:00AM

YELLOW BUCKET

Glass food and beverage jars and bottles
Aluminum and metal food and beverage containers
Metal pet food cans
Plastic beverage bottles marked with a #1 on the bottom
Plastic beverage, detergent, and shampoo containers, only those marked with a #2 on the bottom – NO OTHER #2 plastics
Juice and beverage cartons, including drink boxes


   
DO NOT PUT OUT FOR RECYCLING        
Aluminum baking pans or aluminum foil
Window glass, drinking glasses, or ceramics
Pottery, dishes, or broken glass; plastic food containers
Yogurt, margarine, or sour cream containers
Frozen food trays or salad trays
Egg cartons
Cottage cheese containers
Aerosol cans
Motor oil containers; antifreeze containers
Plastics other than the acceptable containers listed above
Bandage tins, cookie tins; no clothes hangers


GREEN BUCKET

Newspapers and inserts -
may be in bucket or tied at curb
Magazines and junk mail
Stationery, computer, and copier paper
Cereal, cookie, cracker, dry soap, shoe boxes
Greeting cards with no foil – gold, silver, etc.
Gift wrapping that is not metallic foil wrap
Telephone directories
Brown paper bags
Corrugated cardboard – small pieces in bucket;
Nothing larger than 3 x 3  pieces next to bucket

DO NOT PUT OUT FOR RECYCLING 
Carbon or waxed paper
Window envelopes
Tissue paper, napkins, paper plates, or paper towels
Pizza, soda, or beer boxes
Frozen food boxes
Packing paper
Paper in plastic
Styrofoam
Deli-Containers – plastic or styrofoam

Remember: Quality is as important as quantity. It is better to leave something out of a recycling bucket than to include an item that does not belong. A single wrong item can often contaminate a whole load of recyclables. When in doubt, leave it out!

DO NOT PLACE RECYCLABLE MATERIAL IN PLASTIC BAGS!
