Guyot Avenue and Carnahan Place
May 24, 2006
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dear Guyot Avenue and Carnahan Place Neighborhood Residents:
On Thursday, May 25, 2006, weather permitting; the Township’s contractor, Top Line Construction will be installing the new surface course of pavement on both Guyot Avenue and Carnahan Place. Should the paving not take place on Thursday, the work will be completed on Friday, May 26, 2006.
During this time, and until the road paving is complete, residents should remove vehicles from their driveway prior to 7 AM, as access will be restricted during work hours, but will be restored upon the completion at the end of the day. Parking is available on adjacent roads where work is not taking place. Please allow for delays when leaving or returning to your home.
After the paving of the final surface course on these roadways you will be prohibited from using the roads for a 2-hour period until approximately 7 P.M.. This restriction will prevent permanent marring of the blacktop during its “curing period”. Please be advised that bicycle traffic on the newly paved surface course is also prohibited since it can permanently damage the pavement finish.
Work hours will generally be 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Provisions will be made for continued services such as mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up.
If the Engineering Department can be of assistance or if you have any questions prior to 9:00 AM or after 5:00 P.M., please contact Scott Hutchinson, Engineering Inspector (cell phone #731-2631). Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekdays, you may contact Mr. Hutchinson, or myself at 921-7077.
Your assistance in continuing to tolerate the temporary inconvenience associated with this work, which will lead to a permanent improvement of your neighborhood is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert V. Kiser, P.E.
