**IMPORTANT NOTICE**
On or about April 26, 2007, Top Line Construction of Somerville, New Jersey will begin construction of a new connector road between Route 206 and Cherry Valley Road in the vicinity of 842 State Road. Construction is anticipated to be completed within two months.
The Princeton Township Police Department, the Princeton Township Engineering Department, and the Contractor are actively coordinating the construction work to minimize the disruption of traffic for the traveling public. Please be advised that there may be temporary lane closures on both Cherry Valley Road and Route 206 during the construction period. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please plan your travels accordingly.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Princeton Township Engineering Department at 609-921-7077. In case of a non-emergency traffic problem, the Princeton Township Police Department can be reached at 609-921-2100.

The Princeton Township connector road will complement the connector roadway constructed last year in Montgomery Township from Princeton Avenue to Route 206 behind the Sunoco gas station. When completed, the two connector roads will serve to remove left turn movements from northbound and southbound Route 206 to Cherry Valley Road and Princeton Avenue, respectively, at the Cherry Valley Road / Princeton Avenue / Route 206 intersection. Route 206 southbound traffic would access Princeton Avenue via the Princeton connector road. Route 206 northbound traffic would access Cherry Valley Road via the Montgomery connector road.
Princeton’s connector road will be constructed on Township right of way (property) recently acquired from PNC Bank on the northern edge of their parking lot. In addition to the construction of the new connector road the following improvements will be made:
- Minor roadway widening, storm drainage pipe replacement, and curb installation will occur adjacent to the eastbound lane of Cherry Valley Road between the BP gas station and the western side of 842 State Road.
- The driveway serving 842 State Road on the Route 206 frontage will be relocated approximately 75 feet south.
- Curb installation, storm sewer repairs, and slope grading work will occur adjacent to the southbound lane of Route 206 between the BP gas station and the southern end of 842 State Road.
- Relocation of two utility poles on Route 206 and one utility pole on Cherry Valley Road at 842 State Road.
Project updates will be available on the Princeton Township website (http://www.princetontwp.org) under “Road Projects”. Questions and comments can also be directed to Mr. Killian, Princeton Township Construction Administrator, via email at bkillian@princeton-township.nj.us.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we look forward to the completion of this project.
