Longview Drive, Balsam Lane, and Riverside Drive Neighborhoods
August 14, 2006 - IMPORTANT
NOTICE
Dear Riverside Drive, Vernon Circle, and Adams Drive Neighborhood
Residents:
On Tuesday,
August 15, 2006, weather permitting; the Township's contractor,
Top Line Construction will be installing the new surface course
of pavement on the remaining section of Riverside Drive between
Woodside Drive and Princeton-Kingston Road. The paving operation
will start at Woodside Drive and work toward Prospect Avenue and
will then proceed from Princeton - Kingston Road back to Prospect
Avenue completing the paving. Should the paving not be completed
on Tuesday, the work will resume the next working day, weather
permitting.
During
this time, and until the surface course road paving is complete,
residents should remove their vehicles from their driveways and
from the Riverside Drive, Vernon Circle, and Adams Drive roadways
prior to 7 AM, as access will be restricted during work hours,
but will be restored upon the completion of paving at the end
of the day. Residents are asked to park on Woodside Drive or on
Prospect Avenue west of Riverside Drive. Please allow for delays
when leaving or returning to your home.
After
the paving of the surface course on the roadway, residents will
be prohibited from using the road for a 2-hour period up until
approximately 8 P.M. This restriction will prevent permanent marring
of the blacktop during its "curing period". Residents
will then be allowed to return to their driveways once the road
is opened.
Work hours
will generally be 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Provisions will be made
for continued services such as mail delivery, garbage and recycling
pick-up.
If the
Engineering Department can be of assistance or if you have any
questions prior to 9:00 AM or after 5:00 P.M., please contact
Scott Hutchinson, Engineering Inspector (cell phone #731-2631).
Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekdays, you may contact Mr. Hutchinson,
or myself at 921-7077.
Your assistance
in continuing to tolerate the temporary inconvenience associated
with this work, which will lead to a permanent improvement of
your neighborhood is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert
