Prospect Avenue Neighborhood
August 10, 2006
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dear Prospect Avenue Neighborhood Residents:
On Friday, August 11, 2006, weather permitting; the Township’s contractor, Top Line Construction will continue the road reconstruction phase of Prospect Avenue between Princeton-Kingston Road and Evergreen Circle, which includes the milling, grading, base paving of the road, installation of driveway aprons, and topsoiling and seeding. This work is anticipated to last for two (2) more days through Saturday, August 12th.
On Monday, August 14, 2006, weather permitting; the Township’s contractor, Top Line Construction will be installing the new surface course of pavement on Prospect Avenue starting at Princeton Kingston Road and working toward Riverside Drive. Should the paving not be completed on Monday, the work will resume the next working day, weather permitting.
During the time of paving, residents should remove their vehicles from their driveway prior to 7 AM, as access will be restricted during work hours, but will be restored upon the completion of work at the end of each day. Parking is available on adjacent roads where work is not taking place. Residents are asked to park on Poe Road, Carnegie Drive, or Riverside Drive. Please allow for delays when leaving or returning to your home.
After the paving of the surface course on the roadway, residents will be prohibited from using the road for a 2-hour period up until approximately 8 P.M. This restriction will prevent permanent marring of the blacktop during its “curing period”. Residents will then be allowed to return to their driveways once the road is opened.
Work hours will generally be 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Provisions will be made for continued services such as mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up.
If the Engineering Department can be of assistance or if you have any questions prior to 9:00 AM or after 5:00 P.M., please contact Scott Hutchinson, Engineering Inspector (cell phone #731-2631). Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekdays, you may contact Mr. Hutchinson, or myself at 921-7077.
Your assistance in continuing to tolerate the temporary inconvenience associated with this work, which will lead to a permanent improvement of your neighborhood is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert V. Kiser, P.E.
