GENERAL STATISTICS
The Bureau of Fire Prevention for Princeton Township has the responsibility and authority to enter, investigate and perform routine inspections of all buildings, structures and property with the exception of 1 & 2 family dwellings in which the owner resides. The primary inspections are performed in registered businesses who occupy buildings, structures, or places which due to their design, composition and/or occupancy, posses or has potential life safety considerations. The Bureau does inspect 1 & 2 single family dwellings and multiple family dwellings for Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide and Fire Extinguisher requirements at the sale or change of occupancy.
