May 5, 2008
Dear Hemlock Circle and Philip Drive Neighborhood Residents:
On Tuesday, May 6, 2008, weather permitting, Vangelis Construction, the Township’s Contractor, will be installing the final pavement on Hemlock Circle and Philip Drive. The work is planned to begin at 7:00 AM and is anticipated to be completed in one day, weather permitting.
Work is scheduled to begin on Hemlock Circle. Residents on Hemlock Circle are asked to remove vehicles from their driveways on Monday night or early Tuesday morning, prior to the start of work. Once Hemlock Circle has been completed, the contractor will begin paving Philip Drive starting at Prospect Avenue at approximately 10:00 A.M. and will proceed toward Riverside Drive. Residents on Philip Drive are asked to remove vehicles from their driveways prior to the 10:00 A.M. start time. All residents will be allowed to park on Riverside Drive or Prospect Avenue. Vehicles should not be parked near the intersections with Philip Drive in order to allow access for the paving equipment. In the event of inclement weather, the work will proceed on the following day.
After the final paving of the roadway is completed, you will be prohibited from using the road for a 2-hour period up until approximately 7 P.M. This restriction will prevent permanent marring of the blacktop during its “curing period”. Residents will then be allowed to return to their driveways once the road is opened.
Work hours will be between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Provisions will be made for continued services such as mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up.
Brush collection along the street will be suspended until Friday, May 9th.
If the Engineering Department can be of assistance, or if you have any questions prior to 9:00 AM, or after 5:00 PM, please contact Scott Hutchinson, Project Manager (cell phone #731-2631). Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, you may contact Robert Killian, Construction Administrator, or myself at 921-7077.
Your assistance in continuing to tolerate the temporary inconvenience associated with this work, which will lead to a permanent improvement of your neighborhood is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert V. Kiser, P.E.
Township Engineer
